About us

Hi there, my name is Sue Buckle and I have always been interested in vintage and second hand curtains and accessories. I set up my own business back in 1994 after the birth of my son Jonathan after reading an article in one of the weekend magazines.  I started by selling second hand designer curtains and soft furnishings from a shop called Curtain Connection on London Road in St Albans.

I began seriously buying vintage clothes and accessories back in 2007 and this now has become a real focus of my business alongside the curtains.

I love and wear a lot of vintage dresses, tops and skirts, accessories and jewellery as does my daughter Jessica, see below. The only way I could do this, and keep the peace at home before the house became overflowing, was to start selling some of the many items I had found or bought over a long period of time and so Divinely Vintage was born!

One of my personal highlights so far was being part of the Vintage Festival on Southbank in 2011, which was just so much fun!

We know how popular second hand curtains are, especially as money is tight, and this shop is both a response that and a recognition of all those who value re-cycling second hand goods and are interested in the environment.
